Turkey administers over 50 million vaccine shots to date, Erdoğan says

Turkey has administered over 50 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine since the launch of a mass vaccination campaign on Jan. 14, the country’s president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said in a statement on his Twitter account.

“In the vaccination, which is our most effective weapon in fighting the coronavirus epidemic, praise be to Allah, we have exceeded 50 million doses. Good luck with it,” Erdoğan said.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign in Turkey began on 14 January 2021. Turkey currently uses 3 different vaccines in its fight against coronavirus pandemic, which has so far claimed about 50,000 lives in the country.
