Compared to general CPI, the lower annual change observed in 6 main groups while 6 main groups were higher
The lowest annual increase was 2.90% in alcoholic beverages and tobacco. Clothing and footwear with 5.75%, communication with 8.07%, and recreation and culture with 10.05%, were the other main groups where the lowest annual increases realized. On the other hand, transportation with 28.39%, furnishings and household equipment with 21.79%, and health with 19.30% were the main groups where high annual increases realized.

The highest monthly decrease was 1.32% in recreation and culture. Alcoholic beverages and tobacco with 0.01% was the other group that indicated a monthly decrease amongst the main groups. Food and non-alcoholic beverages with 0.29% and health with 0.30% were the main groups that indicated the lowest monthly increase. On the other hand, transportation with 2.56%, clothing, and footwear with 1.76%, and miscellaneous goods and services with 1.62% were the main groups where high monthly increases realized.
In May 2021, within average prices of 415 items in the index, the average prices of 97 items decreased and the average prices of 59 items remained unchanged while the average prices of 259 items increased.
