Turkey continues to reinforce its troops in Syria

As tension between Turkey and Syria is turning into armed conflagration, Turkey continues to reinforce its border units and observation points with armored vehicles, tanks and commandos.

The vehicles, which were carrying commandos and ammunition for border units on Turkey-Syria border, arrived in Reyhanlı district of Hatay province in southern Turkey.

12 Turkish military personnel and 1 civilian contractor were killed by Syrian army artillery fire in this month.

Turkish army responded to the attacks, hitting Syrian government targets in Idlib.

Last week, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan warned Syrian regime to pull back behind Turkish observation post lines by the end of February or face consequences.
