Turkey coronavirus deaths set single-day record: Health Minister

Turkey has reported 141 new deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the virus to 12,084, the country’s Health Ministry said in a statement on Friday.

This marks the highest number of daily coronavirus deaths in the country since outbreak.

According to the statement, the number of patients rose to 435,273, after 5,103 more people were hospitalized with COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.

While at least 3,990 patients are in critical condition, 367,592 patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.

16,937,887 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country.
