“We have received the news with sorrow that the fire that broke out this morning (1 October) at a hospital in Constanta, Romania, caused loss of lives and injuries,” the Ministry said.
“We convey our condolences to the families of the victims who lost their lives in the tragic event, to the friendly people of Romania as well as the Government of Romania and wish a speedy recovery to the injured,” the Ministry added.
Earlier on Friday, at least nine people died after a fire broke out at a hospital in Romania’s port city of Constanta.
According to Romania’s Health Ministry, there were 113 patients in the medical unit of the hospital, 10 of whom were intensive care unit patients.
It has been the third deadly incident at healthcare facilities within less than a year.
