Turkey’s foreign trade deficit widened by an annual 6.6 percent in September as imports increased at a faster pace than exports.
The trade deficit widened to $2.06 billion last month, the Turkish Statistical Institute announced on its website on Thursday.
Turkish exports grew slightly 0.3 percent on an annual basis to hit $14.4 billion in the month, while imports rose 1 percent to $16.5 billion during the same period
The Exports coverage imports ratio fell to 87.5 percent last month, down from 88.2 percent last September.
