Turkey has launched Operation Claw-3 in the north of Iraq.
"Operation Claw-3 launched on 23 August 2019," the ministry announced through its official Twitter account.
The operation is carried out in order to ensure the security of borders and to destroy the terrorists and the caves and shelters they use in the Sinat-Haftanin region, the ministry added.
The operation is supported by Air Force aircraft, ground aviation elements, armed-UAV, and storm howitzers. "Operation continues successfully as planned."
