Turkey: Mahmut Özer appointed as new education minister

Turkey’s President Tayyip Erdogan has appointed Mahmut Özer as the new education minister following the resignation of his predecessor Ziya Selcuk.

Appointment decisions were published in today’s issue of the Official Gazette.

Mahmut Özer had been serving as a deputy education minister for three years and was previously the head of the Measurement, Selection, and Placement Center (ÖSYM).
