Turkey’s industrial production increases by 40.7% annually

Industrial production increased by 40.7% annually in May, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement on Tuesday.

When the subsectors of the industry (based on 2015=100) were examined, the mining and quarrying index increased by 33.4%, the manufacturing index increased by 42.8%, and the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply index increased by 20.9% in May 2021, compared with the same month of the previous year.

Industrial production increased by 1.3% monthly

When the subsectors of the industry were examined, while the mining and quarrying index increased by 8.4% and the manufacturing index increased by 1.1%, the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply index decreased by 0.7% in May 2021, compared with the previous month. (ILKHA)
