Turkey’s daily death toll from coronavirus drops to 17

17 people have died from coronavirus pandemic in the last 24 hours in Turkey, rising the country’s death toll from the virus to 4,746, announced Fahrettin Koca, Turkish Health Minister, on his Twitter account on Tuesday.

Turkey has so far reported 173,036 confirmed coronavirus cases, an increase of 922 cases in the last 24 hours.

146,839 patients suffering from the disease have fully recovered from the infection and been discharged from hospital.

While 631 patients are being treated in intensive care unit, there are some 280 patients who are mechanically ventilated. 

A total of 2,451,700 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted in the country.

Meanwhile, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced that the restrictions for the people under 18 years old has been completely abolished provided that minors are accompanied by their parents.

Turkish people aged 65 and over will be able to go out between 10.00 and 20.00.
