Turkey’s Directorate of Communications prepares fact-checking platform

Turkish Presidency’s Directorate of Communications has prepared a next-generation fact-checking platform in the fight against lies and false facts on social media.

Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun noted that the platform was currently in the testing phase and added: "This platform which will be put into service very, very soon, will be one of our robust tools in the fight for the truth."

The Directorate of Communications, with its next-generation fact-checking platform "DOĞRU MU?" ("IS IT TRUE?") will reveal whether the news and information circulating on social media are true or false. The platform will also be available for IOS and Android systems.

In his statement, the Director of Communications Altun noted that the "DOĞRU MU?" platform they had been working on for a long time was prepared to meet the need to know whether news and information circulating on social media was true or false.

Underlining that the platform was currently in the testing phase, Altun said: "This platform which will be put into service very, very soon, will be one of our robust tools in the fight for the truth."
