Turkey’s flood death toll rises to 5

5 people have died in floods caused by heavy rains in northwestern Turkey’s Bursa province, the governorate office said early Monday,

Search and rescue operations for a missing person are being carried out in flood-hit areas by 257 personnel, including 134 gendarmeries.

The floods severely affected the rural neighborhoods of Dudakli, Narlidere, Aksu and Kayacik of the Kestel district.

Turkey’s Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu moved to the region in order to supervise search and rescue operations.
