Turkey’s intention is to fight against PKK, which is the enemy of Kurdish people: Altun

"Turkey’s intention is clear: to dismantle the terrorist corridor on our border. To fight against PKK, which is the enemy of Kurdish people," said Fahrettin Altun, head of communications.

The head of presidential communications, Fahrettin Altun, posted in English on Twitter regarding Turkey's possible action to the north of Syria.

"Turkey’s intention is clear: to dismantle the terrorist corridor on our border. To fight against PKK, which is the enemy of Kurdish people. To combat DEASH and prevent its resurgence," Altun wrote on Twitter.

Stating that Syria needs local governance not the PKK’s occupation, Altun underlining that the PKK embarked upon an ethnic cleansing in the areas it controlled and eliminated any dissent, especially Kurdish democrats, which has been acknowledged by many international human rights organizations.

Quick reminder for those of you who believe that SDF/YPG/PKK is more reliable than Turkey to fight against ISIS on the ground: The SDF/YPG/PKK has discussed the release of 3,200 ISIS prisoners following Trump’s decision to withdraw troops," Altun noted.

Stating that Turkey has been very patient and accommodating with allies to try to combat terrorism in Syria, Altun warned that Turkey can’t wait a minute longer. "It’s Turkish, Kurdish, and Arab lives at stake."

At the end of the Twit flood, Altun said that areas liberated from PKK will have services provided by Turkey, rather than enduring the occupation by a terrorist militia. "Operation Olive Branch and Euphrates Shield have proven Turkey delivers a model of governance and security for all Syrians."
