According to the statement, marketable production of lignite increased by 11.6% in September compared to the previous month. On the other hand, its production decreased by 20.1% compared to the same month of the previous year and by 22.6% in January-September period compared to the same period of the previous year.
Marketable production of hard coal was 109 thousand 327 tons in September
Marketable production of hard coal increased by 21.1% in September compared to the previous month. However, its production decreased by 7.6% compared to the same month of the previous year and by 17.3% in January-September period compared to the same period of the previous year.
Marketable production of coke derived from hard coal was 357 thousand 917 tons in September. Its production decreased by 6.7% compared to the previous month, by 1.1% compared to the same month of the previous year, and by 0.8% in January-September period compared to the same period of the previous year.
Imports of hard coal increased by 26.7% compared to the previous month
Imports of hard coal increased by 26.7% in September compared to the previous month, by 21.7% compared to the same month of the previous year, and by 14.9% in January-September period compared to the same period of the previous year.
Imports of coke derived from hard coal decreased by 21.5% in September compared to the previous month, by 55.6% compared to the same month of the previous year, and by 10.3% in January-September period compared to the same period of the previous year.
The highest ratio of production to deliveries was in lignite in January-September period
The highest ratio(2) of production to deliveries was in lignite by 104.6% in January-September period. This ratio was 86.2% for coke derived from hard coal and 2.7% for hard coal.
Hard coal and lignite were delivered mostly to thermal power plants
Concerning the deliveries of solid fuels in September, hard coal was delivered with a percentage of 54.1% to thermal power plants, 12.7% to coking plants, and 10.1% to industry (except iron and steel industry). Additionally, 74.4% of lignite was delivered to thermal power plants and 18.3% to industry (except iron and steel industry). Lastly, 94.0% of coke derived from hard coal was delivered to iron and steel industry.
