Turkish border guards rescue 81 asylum-seekers maltreated by Greek troops

Turkish security forces rescued 81 asylum seekers who were pushed back by Greek soldiers, Turkey’s National Defense Ministry said on Monday.

“81 irregular migrants maltreated and kept without food&water after their stuff were taken, were illegally tried to be deported to Turkey by Greek personnel. The immigrants were saved on the Meriç River where they were left,” the Ministry tweeted.
