Turkey's exports in May reached its highest monthly export figure in the history of the Republic.
In the first five months of 2019, exports increased by 5.37 percent to $ 76.6 billion. This figure was also the highest in the history of the Republic in the first 5-month export figure.
In May, imports decreased by 19.85 percent to 18 billion 588 million dollars.
In the last 12-month period, exports increased by 6.26 percent compared to the previous year and reached the highest level in history with 180 billion 771 million dollars.
In May, the foreign trade deficit decreased by 78.11 percent compared to the same period of the previous year to 1 billion 774 dollars. In May of last year, the foreign trade deficit was 8 billion 108 million dollars.
Foreign trade volume decreased by 7.51 percent to $ 35.4 billion.
