Turkish FM warns Europe for a new refugee wave

Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, who is in Oslo, has warned European countries for a new wave of migrants.

Speaking at a meeting of the Norwegian Institute of International Relations (NUPI), Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu warned of a new wave of migrants to Europe.

"Military units may leave once a political solution is established in Syria, but at the moment the Damascus regime does not believe in a political solution," Çavuşoğlu said.

"If the attacks continue in Idlib, it could spark a new wave of refugees into Europe," he added.

Turkish Minister noted that Russia has assured Turkey that there will be no attack by Syrian forces on Turkey's observation posts in Idlib.

Speaking on Iran's oil tanker that detained by Gibraltar administration and then released by the court, Çavuşoğlu said the Iranian oil tanker heading to Lebanon, not Turkey.
