Turkish presidency introduces “Join the Administration” application

Turkish presidency's Directorate of Communications introduced the "Join the Administration" application through the Presidency's Communication Centre (CİMER) to enable citizens to offer new policy suggestions and contribute to existing policies.

Citizens will be able to convey their opinions and suggestions on announced topics related to the actions and policies on the agenda via this application on CİMER. The "Join the Administration" application will be available at www.cimer.gov.tr, and the topics to which citizens will be asked for their opinion will be updated in accordance with the country's agenda.

In his statement regarding the new application, Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun noted that CİMER, which was established to facilitate the use of the fundamental constitutional rights of citizens to obtain information and petition and to ensure public supervision over the administration through democratic participation, was among the leading electronic application receiving systems worldwide. Stating that they saw CİMER as a communication bridge between the people and the state, Altun added that the value of CİMER and the public's level of expectation increased with the Presidential System of Government.

Reporting that around 6 million applications were made to CİMER by citizens in 2020, Director of Communications Altun stated that the coronavirus pandemic, which affected Türkiye and the entire world, was the most important content of the applications made during this period.
