Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan meets with Putin

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is paying a one-day working visit to the Russian city of Sochi, met with President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation.

President Erdogan and President Putin of Russia made a brief statement to reporters prior to their meeting.

President Erdogan said: "This meeting will give us an opportunity to discuss peace in a dynamic way. I believe our meeting will present very significant opportunities for Operation Peace Spring."

Pointing to the level of Turkey-Russia relations, President Putin, on his part, voiced his belief that the relations between Turkey and Russia will help resolve all the problems in the region.

President Putin said: "We are aware that there are various dynamics regarding the situation in the region. I believe our talks and consultations will be very productive."
