UN, EU urge zionist gangs to probe Sawarkah family massacre in Gaza

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Friday sent "heartfelt condolences" to a Gaza family of which eight members were killed in a zionists' missile strike.

"The secretary-general expresses his heartfelt condolences to the Al-Sawarkah family and wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured, and he calls on ısrael to move swiftly with the investigation," Farhan Haq, deputy spokesman for Guterres, said in press remarks.

"We are opposed to all killings of civilians," Haq added. "In the case of the Sawarkah family, it's clearly a tragedy."

For its part, the European Union (EU) office in Occupied Jerusalem urged zionist gangs to conduct a transparent investigation into the death of five Palestinians from the same family in an aerial attack on their home in Gaza and to ensure that those responsible for the raid would be held accountable.

At an early morning hour on Thursday and a few hours before a ceasefire was announced in Gaza, an zionists' warplane bombed the house of al- Sawarkah family while they were asleep and killed eight of them, according to media reports.

A new round of tension between zionist gangs and Gaza resistance groups, which ended on Thursday morning with a fragile ceasefire, had killed 35 Palestinians and wounded 110 others, according to the Gaza health ministry.
