Unexploded Antep war artillery shell found

During the restoration of the Mecidiye Han built in the 18th century in Gaziantep, an unexploded Antep siege artillery shell found.

An explosive artillery bullet and ammunition estimated to have been left from the Siege of Antep was found during the restoration of the Mecidiye Han from the 18th-century structures, which will be converted to the Sahaflar Bazaar where cultural events would be organized,

According to the information, the restoration work was started in Şahinbey Municipality at Mecidiye Han on Şehitler Street. An artillery shell, about 65 centimeters in length, buried in the soil was found during the work.

After the initial inspection at the scene, the shell was removed to be to be destroyed.
