"We applaud the sense of responsibility and the serious and constructive spirit of the participants," the statement said.
"We hope that this spirit is carried into the fully inclusive Libyan Political Forum scheduled to start on 26 February and urge all parties to seize the opportunity to respond positively," it added.
The first round of talks of the Libyan 5+5 Joint Military Commission (JMC), which had started on Monday 3 February 2020, concluded on 8 February 2020 at the Palais des Nations (Geneva) in the presence of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Dr. Ghassan Salamé.
