US hits Syria with phosphorus bombs: Russia

The Russian Defense Ministry announced that 2 F-15 planes belonging to the United States hit Syrian Deir ez-Zor region with Phosphorus bombs.

According to a Spuknit's report, Russia's Vice President of Truce Monitoring Center in Syria Vladimir Savchenko explained that two F-15 aircraft belonging to the US Air Force hit yesterday with phosphorus ammunition, which its use is banned in Deir ez-Zor region.

"In Deir ez-Zor province on September 8, 2018, two F-15 aircraft of the US Air Force carried out strikes on the settlement of Hadjin with the use of phosphorus incendiary munitions. As a result of the strikes, major fires were observed. Information on victims and injured is being clarified," he said, stressing that the use of weapons with white phosphorus is prohibited by an additional protocol to the 1949 Geneva Convention.
