President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at the Başkentray Opening Ceremony. Referring to the developments in Syria, President Erdoğan stated they are very uncomfortable that Syria is turned into an arm wrestled arena, by adding that he spoke with the US' President Trump over the phone and will speak with Russian President Putin.
Speaking at the Başkentray Opening Ceremony held at the Kayaş Train Station, President Erdoğan touched on the developments in Syria.
"The developments in Syria have led to a security crisis all over the world," said Erdoğan. "Syria's regime has already had a black record in our eyes. We are very uncomfortable with Syria being turned into an arm wrestling arena. Yesterday evening I spoke with Trump, and today I will talk to Putin about how we will stop the massacre and we will continue our existence and our activities there until the Syrian lands become safe for all." Erdoğan also emphasized that those who support Assad are in a wrong way.
