Facebook founder and board chairman Mark Zuckerberg testified before the US Congress on unauthorized sharing of user information.
Zuckerberg apologized for accepting personal responsibility for the unauthorized sharing of data before the senators went to answer the questions of the senators.
Zuckerberg acknowledges that Facebook has not clearly defined its responsibilities and allowed it to be exploited, also acknowledges that his company has not done enough to prevent misuse of social media, including fake news, election interventions, hate speech, and data confidentiality.
The data scandal was based on Facebook's unauthorized sharing of 87 million users data with a political consulting firm called Cambridge Analytica. It is claimed that these data were used to support US President Donald Trump in the elections two years ago.
