We do not look for any confrontation with Turkiye

"We do not look for any confrontation with Turkiye in Idlib," Syrian Regime Foreign Minister Walid Muallem said on Monday.

"We do not look for any confrontation with Turkiye, but Turkiye must understand that Idlib is a Syrian province," Walid Muallem, Syrian Regime Foreign Minister said in Moscow where he went for an official visit.

Interviewing with Russia Today, Muallem said that they will not hesitate to use force if they need to use in Idlib. "First of all, the international community must accept that the Idlib province is part of Syria and the Syrian state has the right to take back its territory. Secondly, we are now seeking to liberate Idlib with negotiations or with the help of the army. Our choice is that to retake through negotiation."
