"We will be coming out of Syria," said US President Donald Trump.
"We will be coming out of Syria, like, very soon. Let the other people take care of it now," he said to applause. Trump said US forces were close to securing all of the territories that the DAESH group once claimed.
However, when asked about Trump’s remarks later, State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said she “unaware” about any plans for a troop withdrawal.
