World Health Organization warns for Yemen

Tens of thousands of people will die due to drug shortages in Yemen, the World Health Organization has warned.

The World Health Organization reported that 35 thousand Yemeni citizens could lose their lives if the necessary financial resources are not provided for the treatment of cancer-stricken citizens in Yemen.

In addition to cancer, Yemeni people are battling cholera, the World Health Organization said in a statement.

Several international human rights organizations had warned earlier of an escalation of the humanitarian crisis in Yemen, which is under attack by the Saud regime.

The Saud regime, backed by the United States, has launched attacks on Yemen and put it under siege from the air, land, and sea, along with the UAE and some other Arab regimes, since March 2015.

Thousands of Yemenis have been killed in the attacks so far, while hundreds of thousands have been injured and millions displaced.
