Ghassan Daghlas, a local official monitoring settlement activity in the northern West Bank, said that the settlers destroyed the olive trees that belong to Rajeh Hamoud in southeastern Jalud.
Jewish settlers in the occupied West Bank routinely attack Palestinian farmlands and cut down fruitful trees especially the olive trees, which constitute the main source of living for 80,000 Palestinian families in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, according to UN estimates.
According to UN figures, around 48% of the agricultural land in the West Bank and Gaza is planted with olive trees.
