Noting that during the past four weeks, 42 Palestinians have been killed by live ammunition fired by the terror gang along the fence in Gaza, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein on Friday called on terror gang to ensure that its security forces do not resort to the use of excessive force.
"Every week, we witness instances of use of lethal force against unarmed demonstrators," said the High Commissioner. "Warnings by the United Nations and others have seemingly gone unheeded, as the approach of the security forces from week to week does not seem to have changed."
United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein "Israel should give up its tendency to use excessive force," Raad al-Hussein said, adding that over 40 Palestinians were martyrs and more than 5,500 Palestinians wounded by the terrorist gang.
According to the written statement from the High Commissioner for Human Rights, it is stated that 42 of the Palestinian martyred in the occupied territories, who were unarmed and non-threatening civilians participating in the "Great Return March" demonstrations. Some 1,739 Palestinians were reportedly wounded with live bullets fired by the terrorist gang.
