ZOA forces two Jerusalemites to raze their own homes

The zionist occupation authority (ZOA) on Sunday forced two Jerusalemite citizens to demolish their own houses at the pretext of unlicensed construction.

According to local sources, Sami Obeid had to demolish his 100-square-meter house, which was built a few months ago, after receiving a notice from the Israeli municipality.

Another Jerusalemite citizen called Mohamed al-Sabah was also forced to knock down his own home in Ras Khamis neighborhood near Shuafat refugee camp.

The Jerusalemite citizens had to comply with the Israeli orders to avoid paying exorbitant demolition expenses and fines to the ZOA.

The Jerusalemites have no choice but to build without licenses because there are no structural maps that respond to the natural increase in their numbers, and for that reason, they are denied house permits.

The ZOA also imposes building restrictions on the Palestinian natives in Jerusalem and makes it hard for them to obtain construction licenses.

The zionist regime’s systematic demolition of Palestinian homes in Occupied Jerusalem is believed to be aimed at psychologically destroying the Jerusalemite families in an attempt to force them to move from the holy city.
