According to local sources, the ZOF physically assaulted participants in the march, verbally attacked them and showered them with tear gas canisters.
Settlers from the illegal settlement of Suseya also helped the soldiers through attacking journalists as were covering the events and chased them with dogs.
Two journalists reportedly suffered injuries and bruises during the settler attack.
Local official Fuaad al-Ammour said that the march had been organized to express rejection of the zionist regime’s settlement activity in Masafer Yatta area and to show solidarity with the residents of Khirbet at-Tuwaimin, who are exposed to repeated assaults by soldiers and settlers.
Meanwhile, Palestinian citizens from Madama town in southern Nablus on the same day fended off a gang of settlers who attacked the southern area of the town.
Local sources said that soldiers and security guards from the illegal settlement of Yitzhar were escorting the settlers who stormed the southern area of the town in an attempt to attack homes.
They added that local youths confronted them and clashed with the soldiers who fired tear gas and stun grenades and bullets and secured the settlers’ withdrawal from the area.
