Some EU member states reportedly avoid financing the asylum agreement with Turkiye from their own budget.

Some European Union [EU] member states avoid financing the asylum seekers deal that reached with Turkiye, from their own the budget and that they want to violate the agreement said German magazine, Spiegel.

The EU pledged two years ago to provide six billion euro for assistance to Turkiye to deal with the refugee problem flowing to Europe. The EU announced in mid-March that it has approved 3 billion euros, the second part of pay deal to Turkiye.

Germany, France, Austria, Sweden, Denmark and Finland in a letter sent to the European Commission, demanded the last part of the money promised Turkiye to be paid from the EU budget said, Del Spiegel.

EU and Turkiye reached an agreement in March 2016, which EU pledged six billion euros funding for Syrian refugees in Turkiye, to stop irregular migration through the Aegean Sea, and improve the conditions of more than 3 million Syrian refugees in Turkiye.
