The precise source of nerve agent not been verified: Skripal investigation

It has not been confirmed that the source of the nerve agent that poisoned former Russian spy Sergey Skripal and his daughter, was from Russia.

There is no clear evidence of where the nerve agent has produced that poisoned former Russian spy Sergey Skripal and his daughter.

Head of the UK Defense Science and Technology Laboratory Gary Aitkenhead said that the military level "Novichok" nerve agent was confirmed to be used and it was likely to have been deployed by a state actor.

Speaking to the British Sky News television, Aitkenhead noted it is their job to provide the scientific evidence of what this particular verve agent is. "We identified that it is from this particular family and that it is a military grade but it is not out job to say where it was manufactured," he added.

After the explanation of Aitkenhead, the Kremlin appealed for an apology. Dmitry Peskov, the spokesman of Russian President Vladimir Putin, noted that Britain should apologize to Russia.

The UK government says that laboratory results are only part of the information available, which there are proves that Russia produces "Novichok" nerve agent for over the past 10 years.
