The presence of Syrians is shown as a national security problem
Assessing the recent practices of the Turkish Interior Ministry for Syrian refugees, HUDA PAR drew attention that perception is being sought that the presence of Syrians is a national security problem.
Evaluating a recent policy change for Syrian refugees, HUDA PAR has called on the government to send no one to an environment where life and property security cannot be ensured.
In the weekly internal agenda assessment, HUDA PAR published opinions on topics such as the policy change for Syrian refugees in Turkey and the Turkish Central Bank's interest rate cut and interest-dependent economic system.
Syrian refugees
Drawing attention to a policy change in recent days for Syrian refugees live in Turkey, HUDA PAR said they have always accepted the Syrian refugees as brothers who fled of the civil war and humanitarian catastrophes in their country.
We have helped in every aspect of a humanitarian point of view. Because of this understanding was the common action of the institution of politics, the state, and the citizen, there has not been a serious problem to date, even though their numbers have exceeded five million," HUDA PAR said.
Stating that peace of people lives in Turkey has not broken with the arrival of Syrians; HUDA PAR pointed out that there was no social disturbance among Turkey's citizens because of the presence of Syrians.
"Today, however, there is an attempt to establish the perception that the presence of Syrians is a national security problem. We are deeply concern that many of our Syrian brothers and sisters were deported or stuffed into camps, especially following the politicians use of this language."
"Government to send no one to an environment where life and property security cannot be ensured"
HUDA PAR pointed out that Turkey is the country that knows best the environment is not conducive at the point of security for return, the supply of humanitarian needs and other requirements for life as it is one of the guarantors' countries in the Syrian war.
One of a political party in Turkey, HUDA PAR has warned that the government should not send anyone to an environment where life and property security cannot be ensured in Syria.
"[Refugee] Camps that are kind of an open-air prison should not be filled with families. Instead, it should take more initiative to resolve the Syrian issue with certainty and to establish a peace environment by putting its weight on foreign policy, and take advantage of our Syrian brothers who are registered during this time."
"Indigestion for Arabic signs triggers dissociation in society"
"Indigestion for the Arabic signs - that refugees put up in their workplaces in order not to need anyone and to sustain their lives through their own means - triggers the dissociation in society," HUDA PAR warned.
The statement noted that this practice leaves many of Syrian, - who are duly engaged in commercial activity, taxing, providing employment - in a difficult situation.
Calling on the government to show the necessary sensitivity in this sense, HUDA PAR issued the following suggestions:
"The polarizing style of politicians confronts peoples and triggers a culture of lynching," HUDA PAR underlined while called on authorities if there is legislation relevant to this issue, it should be operated equally to all.
Although nearly half of the signs in Turkey are in English, German, French or even Russian, the ban on business names and signs in Arabic is not fair.
While the efforts of the Syrian refugees to obtain income without the need for others should be encouraged, their encounter with obstacles will lay the groundwork for the deterioration of public order.
Preventing the gain from legitimate means will lead people to illegitimate ways."
"Economy must be freed from interest rate dependence"
Turkish central bank took a decision on July 25 to cut interest rates by 425 basis points. Thus policy interest rates, which were 24, were reduced to 19.75.
The lowering of interest rates also had an immediate impact on the market.
"But unless we get rid of the interest-based economic system, social woes will continue," HUDA PAR underlined and further adding that if "interest system" in this way, continue to be at the center of the economic policies, it will prevent the formation of an independent, original and domestic economic model.
It is a great handicap to evaluate the economic system and problems in Turkey in this narrow framework.
Following the exchange rate rise last August, the Turkish Central Bank went to a very high rate hike at a time that was well beyond expectations and the interest stuck almost at 25 percent.
The central bank's attempt to maintain price stability by lowering and increasing interest rates is actually the starting point of the end.
Although there are many ways and methods of maintaining price stability, putting interest at the center of this business is a problematic mindset but also making Turkey dependent on the global economic system.
"As long as the way to make money from money is not closed or made difficult, the economy will not go flat," HUDA PAR said.
"The way for interest-free business should be cleared and encouraged"
Providing suggestions for better economic stability, HUDA PAR said the following statements:
The central bank should be institutionally discussed in details, equipped with other duties and responsibilities beyond just being an institution that maintains price stability.
It should also contribute directly or indirectly to the solution and development of the country's employment problem.
The responsibility of the current power cannot be ignored that the country, institutions, firms and even individuals internalized at this rate with interest, and the economy works largely with credit.
Forcing people to live with interest and providing various advantages to those who do business with interest has transformed us into "interest society".
Instead, the way for interest-free business should be cleared and encouraged. Unless this is done, it is not possible to protect the economy from global speculators.
