The representatives of NGOs release messages regarding “International Jerusalem Week”

Many representatives of non-governmental organizations and political parties in Turkey’s southeastern Diyarbakir province have issued messages on International Jerusalem Day which are being marked on March 8-14.

In their messages, the representatives called for more support to Palestinians who are struggling to protect their lands against the zionist occupation regime.

Faruk Dinç, HÜDA PAR’s Diyarbakır provincial chairman, said that Jerusalem is the heart, honor and dignity of the Islamic World.

“Muslims should put their differences aside and unify around the goal of liberating Jerusalem, which is being trampled under foot by the Zionists,” Dinç added.

The head of “Mustadzaflar Cemiyeti” (the Movement of the Oppressed), Murat Aslan, underlined that the cause of Jerusalem is not an ordinary cause and added: “In Jerusalem, our brothers cannot worship at Al Aqsa Mosque that is in their homeland. It is very worrying that one of the Islamic values is under the occupation. Jerusalem should always be on our agenda. We should do our best in order to liberate Jerusalem from the zionist occupation.”

“Jerusalem is a sacred place for Muslims, Christians, and Jews. The fact that Jerusalem is now under the occupation of the Zionist regime is tearing our hearts out. I call on all Muslims to show more effort to protect the rights of all oppressed who live in Islamic World,” said Nesip Yıldırım, the Deputy Chairman of Mazlum-Der (the Association for Human Rights and Solidarity for the Oppressed).

The president of the Association of the Lovers of the Prophet, Hüsamettin Bönül, said: “According to the Holy Quran, Jerusalem and its vicinity are sacred places. Unfortunately, those lands are under the occupation of the zionist regime at the moment. We will bring up the issue of Jerusalem on every occasion.
