The US builds two bases in Manbij
The US is building two bases in the north of Syria in the western part of the Euphrates River in Manbij, where under the control of YPG/PKK.
It was stated that the US army extended the area used as a point of observation in the south-east the Dadat village north of Manbij, and it was pointed out that a large number of construction materials and work machines directed this area. The base reportedly is located 8 kilometers from Sacu Brook, which separates Jarabulus town from Manbij.
The US is building the other base 4 kilometers from the front line. US elements that settled on a farm named Nuaymiye, are working to turn the field into a base. If completed, Nuaymiye will be the nearest US base to the elements of the Euphrates Shield.
According to the Syrian Human Rights Observatory, majority US troops, there are 350 coalition troops in the vicinity of Manbij, and the coalition sends troops, guns and other equipment as reinforcements to Manbij. The YPG/PKK has taken the Manbij district of the province of Aleppo from the DAESH with the support of the US in August 2016. (ILKHA)
