The way Palestinians wounded shocked me: UNRWA Commissioner-General
UNRWA Commissioner Pierre Krahenbuhl stated that the number of wounded in the massacre carried out by the zionists and the way they have injured is shocked him.
Pierre Krahenbuhl, the United Nations Relief and Work Organization for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) said the world has been incapable of fully understanding what has happened in Gaza since March 30.
Zonist regime intentionally targeted Palestinians protesting near Gaza border with occupied territories last week, Pierre Krahenbuhl, Commissioner General the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), said Tuesday.
Israeli regime forces martyred at least 65 and injured 2,700 Palestinians who gathered near Gaza fence border on Monday for the climax of a six-week demonstration coinciding with the inauguration of US embassy in al-Quds.
Krahenbuhl held a press conference in Gaza on Tuesday, called on the whole world to rescue the health situation in Gaza and said that bringing Gaza out of humanity would not bring peace to the region.
Krahenbuhl, who noted the situation in Gaza, said, "Gaza faces a catastrophe in health and humanitarianism, and it will have negative consequences for the people of Gaza, 70 percent of the Gaza people are refugees, and some of them have recently lost their lives or were wounded. These include students studying at UNRWA schools."
Krahenbuhl added that the number of protesters injured since Palestinians began holding rallies near the Gaza border on March 30 now exceeded the number of those injured during Tel Aviv's destructive 2014 military aggression on the besieged enclave that claimed lives of 2250 Palestinians and injured thousands more.
Of the 13,000 Palestinians injured since the Gaza rallies began on Mar. 30, Krahenbuhl said, roughly 3,500 had been struck by live ammunition.
Krahenbuhl said the zionist forces had deliberately targeted protesters’ lower limbs, knees, backs, and heads.
