Trilateral Syria summit in Ankara to be held Monday
Turkey, Russian Federation, and Iran trilateral summit will be held in Ankara on Monday with the participation of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin, hosted by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
The trilateral summit meeting aims to "evaluate developments in Syria, especially in Idlib, to discuss joint steps to be taken in the future in order to end the conflict, to provide conditions for the voluntary return of refugees and to establish a lasting political solution".
The meeting will also focus on the work being carried out between Turkey and the United States on the planned safe zone to the east of the Euphrates.
The leaders will first hold head-to-head talks at the Çankaya Pavilion, then the Syria summit will begin.
