Turkey doesn't have an eye on any country's soil, President Erdoğan

Delivering a speech on the occasion of August 30 Victory Day reception, President Erdoğan said Turkey doesn't have an eye on any country's soil.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and First Lady Emine Erdoğan hosted a reception at the Presidential Complex on the occasion of the 97th anniversary of the August 30 Victory Day. The President made a speech at the event.

Underlining that Turkey doesn’t have an eye on any country’s soil, President Erdoğan said: "Yet, we cannot show even the slightest tolerance towards those who set their eyes on our soil, violate our sovereign rights and target our independence and future.

"The struggle we today wage in Iraq, in Syria, in the eastern Mediterranean, and across our region has just one goal, which is to defend the rights of the Republic of Turkey as well as to ensure the security of friendly and brotherly peoples," he added.

President Erdoğan noted that societies which have no dreams or fail to make their dreams come true one by one inevitably become a tool of other societies' dreams.

"Our nation has pursued and worked day and night for great dreams and goals throughout history. We have thereby managed to protect our independence, found our own state and prevent any disgrace to our nation’s honor in every region where we have lived for thousands of years," he said.
