“We received the news with deep sorrow that many people lost their lives due to floods and landslides caused by torrential rains in Merida State in western Venezuela,” the Ministry said.

“We extend our condolences to the friendly people and Government of Venezuela and to the families of those who lost their lives and wish a speedy recovery to the injured,” the Ministry added.
