Turkey reports 8,697 new coronavirus cases, 231 deaths
231 more people have died due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the disease to 46,071, Turkey’s Health Ministry said in a statement on Saturday.
According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 5,178,648, after 8,697 more people tested positive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.
While at least 1,876 patients are in critical condition, 5,013,111 patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.
More than 52,167,387 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country.
