Turkey-Russia complete ninth joint patrols in Syria, Turkish Defense Ministry says
Turkey and Russia on Wednesday completed their ninth joint patrols in northern Syria east of the Euphrates river, Turkish Defense Ministry said in a statement.
"Turkish and Russian units have completed their ninth joint land patrol according to plan in the Ras Al-Ayn – Qamishli sector east of the Euphrates, with four vehicles each and accompanying UAVs," the Ministry said.
According to the agreement between Ankara and Moscow, the patrols should conduct within a depth of up to 10 km inside Syrian territory east and west of the area under Turkey's exclusive control, or 120 km of border between Tal Abyad and Ras al Ayn.
