Turkey's Foreign Affairs issues statement on visa exemption with Russia
Turkish Foreign Ministry announced Wednesday that visa exemptions had been granted to official passport holders mutually within the framework of visa consultations with Russia.
Within the framework of the visa consultations conducted with the Russian Federation, visa exemptions were mutually granted to official passport holders.
The ministry announced that visa exemption will be applied by the Russian Federation to Turkish service and special passport holders.
"Citizens of the Russian Federation who have a service passport will also benefit from visa liberalization on their travels to our country," the statement read. In addition, international transport drivers will be granted visa exemption on the basis of reciprocity.
The statement said mutual visa release will be effective as of Wednesday, "thus, the agreement on visa exemption signed on 12 May 2010 has been partially re-enacted as of 7 August 2019."
