Turkish MPs will also not be able to use flashlights in their vehicles

Office vehicles carrying MPs, mayors, prefects, rectors, heads of departments and directors of institutions will not be able to use flash lamps.

The new era in the use of "flashlight", which provides a passing advantage in traffic, begins on 1 November.

Vehicles that can use flash lamps and emergency lights:

Ambulances, vehicles carrying wounded and emergency patients, organ and tissue transport vehicles, fire trucks, forest fire-fighting vehicles, security, public order, traffic and police vehicles, the construction and maintenance of vehicles used in the road, vehicles responsible for snow and ice, disaster and emergency vehicles will be able to use flashlights.

Police/gendarmerie vehicles used in security, public order and Traffic Services, which do not clearly have the advantage of crossing by painting shapes or discrimination marks, will use a hill lamp instead of a flash lamp.

Public officials who serve in public, local administrations, other professional organizations and universities with top managers, general managers, and head of department or other titles will not be able to use vehicles with flashing lights.

Following the implementation of the law from November 1st, police and gendarmerie traffic units will begin an effective audit. Vehicles that do not comply with the principles will be banned from traffic.

Necessary administrative and judicial procedures will be initiated on the responsible persons if the vehicle does not comply with the law.
