Turkiye reserves all its rights to intervene: Turkish Presidential Spokesperson Kalın
Kalın pointed out that the U.S. is taking worrying steps to legitimize and make permanent in the region the PYD/YPG, said: "Turkiye reserves all its rights to intervene, which are legitimate targets, at any place, time and in any way of its choosing.
Deputy Secretary-General and Spokesperson of the Presidency Ambassador İbrahim Kalın referred to the written statement by the International Coalition in some media outlets which says that “there are ongoing works for the formation and training of a Syrian Border Security Force in collaboration with the Syrian Democratic Forces.”
Pointing out that the U.S. is taking worrying steps to legitimize and make permanent in the region the PYD/YPG, which is PKK’s extension in Syria, on the pretext of the ‘fight against DAESH’ instead of ending its support to it, Presidential Spokesperson Kalın made the following remarks:
"It is absolutely impossible to accept this situation. As has been the case so far, Turkiye will determinedly continue its fight against any terrorist organization in the upcoming period regardless of its name and shape within and outside its borders within the framework of Mr. President’s statements. Turkiye will continue to take necessary measures in line with its national interests so as to ensure its own security. Within this framework, Turkey reserves all its rights to intervene against terrorist organizations, which are legitimate targets, at any place, time and in any way of its choosing."
