Turkiye's National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar received the US Special Representative in Syria, James Jeffrey, in his office.

In the statement made by the Ministry of National Defense, Akar and Jeffrey talked about the recent developments in Syria and the discomfort from the presence of PKK/PYD/YPG in the region.

"Within this scope, the determination displayed by Turkiye in order to preserve the rights and benefits of Turkiye was emphasized and the necessity of the terror organization to leave the region completely was stated," said in the statement issued by Defense ministry.
