Two-thirds of Raqqa destroyed: UN
The United Nations announced that the two-thirds of Raqqa have been destroyed as the result of the US-led coalition and PKK/PYD attacks.
United Nations (UN) inspectors visited Raqqa after taken from Daesh for the first time on October 17, 2017. World Food Program in the UN's Union Syrian Director Jakob Kern visited Raqqa and said it is almost completely destroyed.
It was stated that $10 million is needed for services such as power, water supplies, schools, and roads.
Before the civil war that started in March 2011 in Syria, 200 thousand people lived in the city. (ILKHA)
