TurkStat announced labor statistics for the month of December 2017. Accordingly, the unemployment rate realized 10.4 percent. 

In Turkey, the number of unemployed aged 15 and over in December period of 2017 compared to the same period last year decreased by 581,000 persons and became 3,291,000 people. The unemployment rate declined by 2.3 points to 10.4 percent. In the same period; the non-agricultural unemployment rate was estimated at 12.3 percent with a decrease of 2.6 percentage points. In the young population (15-24 years), the unemployment rate was 19.2 percent with a decrease of 4.8 percentage points. In the 15-64 age group, this rate realized 10.6 percent with a 2.3 percentage points decrease.
