At least 30 civilians were slaughtered in the US-led coalition airstrike against a mosque during Friday prayers in the city of Deir Ezzor, Syria.
Strikes on the town of Sousa killed at least 35 civilians, including children, late on Thursday and 30 more civilians on Friday.
Dozens were wounded and many remained under the rubble in the village, which is in the eastern Syrian province of Deir Ezzor near the Iraqi border.
The death toll is expected to increase due to the presence of injured cases in serious conditions and the presence of missing people.
Since 2014, the US-led coalition has taken direct responsibility for more than 1,100 civilian deaths in Syria and Iraq, but rights groups estimate the number to be much higher.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says coalition strikes in Syria alone have killed more than 3,300 civilians.
